Job Overview
The People Operations – People Services Teams play a vital role in supporting the organization, line managers, and employees in all aspects of Human Resources Services. These teams are dedicated to delivering HR services with enthusiasm and dedication, ensuring a consistently excellent customer experience while adhering to agreed service level agreements (SLAs) and compliance requirements.
The People Services Teams are responsible for the vetting of employees and candidates, ensuring that all personnel are properly vetted to facilitate their mobilization onto various projects.
The Security Vetting Specialist will offer a thorough case management service within the Security Vetting Team, focusing on identifying, investigating, and evaluating the suitability of vetting applications.
This role emphasizes providing exceptional customer service, advising and guiding the organization, candidates, and clients throughout the complete vetting process, alongside performing administrative vetting tasks, training new team members, and providing vetting aftercare.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the end-to-end clearance application process for significant projects and individual clearance requests. Address aftercare requirements. Establish and maintain trustworthy relationships with key security personnel within the organization. Foster strong working relationships with HR teams, employees, and the People Hub team. Provide expert advice on a wide range of vetting-related topics, taking ownership of queries within business-as-usual operations. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in various vetting process areas and support the maintenance of process delivery standards. Respond to complex inquiries to assist in resolving cases from managers and employees in accordance with governance requirements and service SLAs. Ensure compliance with current statutory and legislative requirements. Utilize case management systems to accurately record and maintain records of activities and tasks undertaken, updating vetting applications as necessary. Ensure adherence to all internal and external auditing requirements. Inform the team of policy changes in alignment with business needs. Identify opportunities for improvement and assist in implementing continuous improvement initiatives. Mentor current and new team members, ensuring comprehensive training plans are in place for new hires.Qualifications:
Experience in the vetting industry and familiarity with the vetting lifecycle. Strong administrative skills. Excellent customer service abilities, including effective use of case management systems. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision. Professional demeanor with the capacity to develop strong working relationships. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Exceptional attention to detail. Good organizational skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities. Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks effectively. Flexible and proactive attitude. Commitment to confidentiality and the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word, including mail merge functionalities. Dedication to continuous improvement.Essential:
National Security Vetting will be required for this position.
Additional Information:
This role may necessitate security clearance, and offers of employment will depend on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If required, this will be discussed during the interview process. The vetting process is managed by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK for five years or longer.
