Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Financial Controller to become a vital member of our EMEA Regional Controller team. In this role, you will play a key part in enhancing our financial capabilities, guiding the organization towards compliance with accounting standards, regulatory frameworks, and tax obligations. You will collaborate with a diverse array of stakeholders and contribute significantly to our international finance operations.

As our organization expands, the need for robust financial capabilities becomes increasingly critical. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Steering the organization effectively by ensuring adherence to accounting, regulatory, and tax requirements.
  • Collaborating with Regional Controllers and Reporting & Tax teams to maintain financial compliance, overseeing local audits, external firms, and regulatory relationships.
  • Acting as the primary finance liaison for the regional team (Expansion, Compliance, Product & People), ensuring all new entities, products, and legislation are comprehensively understood and prepared for.
  • Partnering with finance teams (Finance Product and Group Accounting) to align systems, controls, and processes with regional needs, ensuring clarity in definitions and change management.
  • Conducting thorough reviews of monthly and quarterly financial statements to verify the accuracy of your assigned entities.
Qualifications

About You

  • Extensive experience in financial controlling, auditing, advisory, or management accounting, with a solid understanding of IFRS and established financial controls for European entities.
  • Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.
  • Regularly communicated with stakeholders, providing reports and clarifying requirements.
  • A self-starter who can independently organize and manage your workload.
  • Experience in a regulated environment, particularly within Fintech or Financial Services, is preferred.
Skills

  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy in completing complex tasks.
  • Capable of taking initiative and making independent decisions, effectively managing your own schedule.
  • Proficient in conveying intricate issues to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to analyze raw data beyond standard Excel functions.
  • Familiarity with finance and accounting terminology, understanding the significance of tax and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong grasp of fundamental accounting principles and IFRS standards.
