Regional Finance Manager

Ark Schools is seeking a highly skilled Regional Finance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Regional Finance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial integrity of our academies in North London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the monthly financial processes for your home schools, ensuring compliance with the Academies Financial Handbook.
  • Lead financial planning and partnering with Principals and other senior staff to ensure effective strategic decision making.
  • Provide support to other schools as directed by the Senior Finance Manager.
  • Ensure timely production and issue of financial reports, cash flow forecasts, and returns as required.
  • Prepare management accounts and related analysis, posting of month-end journals, and bank and control account reconciliations.
  • Take responsibility for the academy's accounting procedures, ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Line manage the school's finance support staff, including arranging training and development.

Requirements:

  • Experienced part-qualified accountant or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA).
  • Ability to skilfully manage and maintain effective working relationships with parents, governors, community members, and other stakeholders.
