About the Position

Join our dedicated team at iMap Centre Limited, where we create a nurturing environment for students with diverse needs. Our institution is designed to support individuals aged 7 to 19 who face challenges related to autism, behavioral issues, and learning difficulties. We focus on fostering growth, confidence, and social connections among our students, ensuring they receive exceptional support from our committed staff.

Role Overview

As a key member of our educational team, you will:

· Facilitate engaging learning experiences for a small cohort of students with autism and associated challenges, while effectively delivering the national curriculum.

· Employ innovative strategies to enhance student achievement and demonstrate familiarity with accreditation bodies such as ASDAN, while pursuing ongoing professional development.

· Assist students in their educational journey.

· Support learners in achieving their EHCP objectives.

· Ensure the safety and well-being of our students.

· Promote higher attendance, attainment, and overall success.

· Collaborate closely with students to enhance their learning and life skills.

Required Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience:

· Relevant qualifications and professional development (desirable)

· QTS/NQT or equivalent, or Level 3 Teaching Award

· Key Skills [Essential]

· Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written, with diverse audiences.

· Creative problem-solving abilities to tailor learning experiences for each student.

· Strong organizational skills and self-motivation.

· Competent in using technology as a teaching tool.

· Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively within a team of professionals and external agencies.

· Ability to collaborate effectively.

· Knowledgeable about:

· Current theories and practices related to Disability/SEN, particularly in the context of autism.

· Safeguarding and child protection policies.

· Relevant legal frameworks and oversight mechanisms.

· Inclusive methodologies to enhance attendance, attainment, and achievement.
