About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Lead Tutor to join our team at Best Practice Network. As a Regional Lead Tutor, you will play a key role in managing and leading a team of tutors supporting student teachers to achieve their Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) in the Midlands region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Management: Manage a team of EYITT Personal Tutors to ensure we meet our programme targets and maintain a high level of quality practice.
  • Tutor Development: Support with the recruitment, development, and training of EYITT Tutors, working closely with the Head of EYITT.
  • Quality Assurance: Complete 'Keeping in touch' meetings with Personal Tutors each month and share information with the Quality and Assurance Team to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Placement Requests: Approve placement requests and queries in line with the EYITT criteria.
  • Teaching Observations: Complete shadow visits for tutors as required, conducting teaching observations and providing high-quality feedback.
  • Progress Monitoring: Complete CFC meetings and support excellent progress for student teachers.
  • Recommendations: Support with Recommendations for EYTS and final interviews.
  • Preparation for Ofsted: Assist with preparation for Ofsted, external moderation, and exam board as appropriate.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Have experience in leading and managing a team.
  • Motivation and Drive: Have high levels of motivation and the ability to drive forward improvements.
  • Industry Knowledge: Have up-to-date Early Years industry knowledge and be passionate about Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
  • Communication Skills: Be able to develop strong professional relationships with colleagues, employers, mentors, and student teachers.
  • Time Management: Be able to motivate the team to ensure they complete deadlines on time and maintain high quality throughout the programme.
  • Technical Skills: Have strong IT skills and be willing to work with online systems.
  • Travel: Hold a full driving license, have own vehicle, and be willing to travel to different settings.
