About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and forward-thinking Advanced Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our medicines value team, you will play a crucial role in driving value in medicines across our hospital sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Clinical Divisional Lead Pharmacists and Medicines Value Team in the development of pharmacy services and medicines management within the directorate.
  • Provide a safe and effective advanced clinical pharmacy service to the directorates within the Trust.
  • Assist in providing clinical training and supervision, relevant to the directorate, for other departmental staff.
  • Provide non-medical prescribing services to our patients.
  • Identify the clinical and economic impact of medicines use, develop and implement clinical guidelines, monitor drug expenditure and support the area to meet their clinical and financial targets.
  • Support the national agenda in helping create value within the organisation supporting biosimilar switches.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:

  • MPharm or equivalent
  • Post graduate clinical qualification
  • Member of the GPhC
  • Non Medical Prescribing (or within 3 months of being on the GPHC Register)

Desirable qualifications and experience include:

  • Management qualification
  • MSc
  • MRPharmS
  • Acute Teaching Trust/Tertiary Referral Centre experience
  • Leading medicine-related protocol development
  • Leading and supervising audit or practice research projects
