Job Title: Warehouse Operative Days

At Great Bear, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, maintaining high levels of health and safety, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pick and pack stock and orders from designated locations within the warehouse.
  • Load customer pallets onto trailers using material handling equipment (MHE).
  • Ensure accurate picking and packing of orders.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively with team leaders and managers to ensure seamless operations.
  • Monitor and maintain housekeeping standards throughout the warehouse.
  • Comply with risk assessment guidelines and report any issues to the warehouse team leader and manager.
  • Ensure compliance with warehouse procedures for reporting damages and operating MHE equipment.
Requirements:
  • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Expected to operate all MHE required to deliver operational requirements.
  • Must possess a reasonable level of verbal and numerical reasoning.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Adaptable approach to training.
  • Conscientious and reliable.
  • Good working attitude.
  • Previous experience in a similar environment desirable but not essential.
  • FLT Licence desirable.
