Job Title: Assistant Chief Representative
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Chief Representative to join our team at Dubai Chambers. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations and activities of our representative office, providing market intelligence to our International Relations team, and supporting the implementation of strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- People Management:
- Manage the effective achievement of assigned objectives through leadership and performance management.
- Develop and motivate staff to maximize sectional performance.
- Budgeting and Financial Performance:
- Develop and recommend the Representation Office budget and monitor financial performance.
- Ensure all Representation Office activities are conducted in line with approved guidelines.
- Representation Office Operations:
- Manage representation office operations to ensure priorities and objectives are embedded in all local activities.
- Develop and implement a continuous engagement plan with local business and governmental stakeholders.
- Manage the consistency of operations and activities to ensure best practices implementation.
- Market Intelligence:
- Manage the identification and exploration of local business opportunities and collection of local market intelligence data.
- Promotional and Networking Events:
- Manage the organization and execution of promotional and networking events in collaboration with other departments and local stakeholders.
- Relationship Management:
- Ensure the management and establishment of key relationships in the host country to serve the Chamber's and members' best interests.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in International Business, Business Administration, or other relevant fields.
- Experience: 8-10 years of progressive experience in external relations in government or private organizations in the local market, with at least 4 years in a managerial level.
- Language Skills: Bilingual (English and local language) with strong writing skills in both languages.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, business etiquette, and established business network/wide PR portfolio in the local market.
- Cultural Adaptability: Ability to adapt to the local culture.
