The Pharmaceutical Society NI is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to fill the role of Chief Executive. This permanent, full-time position offers a competitive salary of £90,000 plus benefits and is based in Belfast.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Pharmaceutical Society (NI) and promoting excellent professional standards throughout the profession. They will deliver efficient and effective management of the Society to enhance public confidence in the Pharmaceutical Sector and support the development of the Pharmacist profession.

The ideal candidate will have a degree or equivalent qualification and at least 3 years of experience in senior management within a regulatory environment or membership services organisation. They will also have experience of representing an organisation externally and managing financial resources effectively.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the Pharmaceutical Society (NI) and promoting excellent professional standards
  • Delivering efficient and effective management of the Society
  • Enhancing public confidence in the Pharmaceutical Sector
  • Supporting the development of the Pharmacist profession

The Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland (PSNI) is an Independent Statutory Body established by the Pharmacy and Poisons Act (Northern Ireland). It is the regulatory and professional body for pharmacists in Northern Ireland and maintains a register of over 2800 pharmacists, 140 Foundation Year Trainees and over 550 pharmacy premises.
