Training Specialist - Manufacturing Sector
Location: Banbury, Oxfordshire
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum, with a potential bonus of 10%, 27 days of annual leave, and a generous pension scheme (5% employee contribution, 10% employer contribution, totaling 15%).
MDE Group UK is seeking a Training Specialist to join a renowned manufacturing organization in Banbury.
The successful candidate will possess hands-on experience in a production or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) setting and will have transitioned into a training or Learning and Development (L&D) role. This position involves the training and evaluation of operational staff in accordance with the company's standard management system, focusing on Continuous Improvement/LEAN methodologies, Health & Safety, and Quality Assurance.
In addition to delivering practical training, the Training Specialist will be tasked with maintaining training resources and schedules to ensure compliance with both organizational and regulatory standards.
Core Responsibilities
- Facilitate engaging, hands-on training sessions for individuals and groups, employing a train-the-trainer model when appropriate.
- Exemplify leadership by nurturing a culture of engagement, excellence, and skill enhancement.
- Oversee the plant's competency framework, including the competency matrix and gap analysis, while tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Work in partnership with the Continuous Improvement Manager and HR Business Partner to create and execute a standardized competency management framework.
- Collaborate with both internal and external Training Specialists to identify and implement best practices.
Essential Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing context, ideally within the FMCG sector.
- Proficiency in training, coaching, and assessment techniques.
- Experience in managing vocational competency frameworks.
- Proven capability to effectively manage change.
- Exceptional organizational and prioritization abilities.
- Strong communication skills across various levels of the organization.
