Job Overview

JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS is seeking a skilled Technical Training Specialist to join our team in Banbury, UK. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering hands-on technical training to our associates, ensuring they have the necessary skills to excel in their roles.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Development

  • Lead and role-model the output of our Manufacturing Operating System (MOS), supporting its rollout and further development by contributing to the Organization Pillar.
  • Deliver exceptional results through engaged leadership and coaching, driving a culture of engagement and developing capabilities.
  • Develop and implement a competency management plan for the plant, monitoring results and key performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with the Continuous Improvement Manager and Human Resources Business Partner to ensure competency management system development and implementation.
  • Drive proactive benchmarking with internal and external Training Experts to generate best practices.

Delivery and Cost Optimization

  • Deliver high-quality, hands-on training to associates, deploying the train-the-trainer approach as needed for theoretical and practical learning solutions.
  • Understand and leverage competence management in the plant, ensuring it is effective, cost-efficient, and fit for future growth.
  • Maintain relationships with external training providers to ensure value-added services and service levels.
  • Actively update, monitor, and improve key performance indicators, processes, and systems related to competence management.
  • Support flexibility within manufacturing areas by developing associates to successfully operate multiple machines.
Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Relevant training or instructor qualification, or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies.

Must-Have Skills

  • Experience in manufacturing environments, preferably in FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods).
  • Experience in training, coaching, and assessment methodologies.
  • Experience in Management of Change.
  • Excellent planning skills with the ability to prioritize ruthlessly.
  • Dynamic self-starter with excellent communication skills for all levels of the organization.
