About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineering Technical Lead to join our growing team at Aviva. As a key member of our development community, you will provide technical expertise and delivery capability across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical input into solution designs and ensure development standards are maintained.
  • Work closely with the development team to deliver solutions to time and budgetary targets.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines using Pyspark and SQL, with orchestration tools such as Airflow.
  • Design and implement data lake/lake house architecture platforms.
  • Collaborate with the team to explore new technologies and patterns as required in project execution.
Requirements
  • Strong technical consultancy experience across ETL/Data Warehouse/Big Data.
  • Working experience of Cloud Technologies and data ecosystem, with a preference for AWS.
  • Expertise in development of data pipelines based on Pyspark and SQL, with orchestration tools such as Airflow.
  • Knowledge of OLAP implementation on any Database technologies, with a preference for Snowflake.
  • Excellent understanding of Data Engineering methodologies.

  • Starting salary between £60,000 - £65,000, depending on skills, experience, and qualifications.
