Data Engineering Technical Lead

Salary £60,000 - £65,000

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineering Technical Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working as a senior data engineer in data lake/lake house architecture platform and hands-on experience of developing data pipelines using pyspark and SQL.

The Data Engineering Technical Lead will provide technical expertise and delivery capability across the development & IT Change community. The role will be critical to ensuring development standards are maintained in delivering solutions to time and budgetary targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical input into the preparation of solution designs
  • Ensure development standards are maintained
  • Deliver solutions to time and budgetary targets

Requirements:

  • Strong technical consultancy experience across ETL/Data Warehouse/Big Data
  • Working experience of Cloud Technologies and data ecosystem, AWS is preferable
  • Expert on development of data pipeline based on Pyspark and SQL with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Tivoli etc
  • Knowledge of OLAP implementation on any Database technologies (Snowflake preferred)
