Job Role: Children's Support Worker

As a Children's Support Worker with Nurseplus UK Ltd, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young adults in care. Your primary responsibility will be to provide individualized support, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and safeguard the wellbeing of children and young people
  • Assist with daily routines, including community and educational settings
  • Organize and facilitate social activities to promote engagement and enjoyment
  • Transportation and mobility support
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to implement safe practice and promote positive outcomes
  • Offer high levels of supervision and support to ensure the young person's needs are met
  • Work in accordance with Ofsted and CQC regulations to ensure high-quality care
  • Manage complex behaviors and crisis intervention
  • Contribute to the young person's care plans and risk assessments, reviews, and implementation

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a child and/or young adult setting
  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Child & Young People's Workforce (CYP) is desirable
  • Must be over the age of 21 to meet industry regulations
  • Knowledge in one of the following areas: EBD, SEMH, CSE, or SEN/SEND
  • An enhanced DBS, which can be applied for upon registration (cost of which £45.40, refunded after a set period of work)
  • A Full UK Driving License (desirable)
