Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to adults with health and social care needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support adults with learning disabilities or older people with specialist needs, including autism, dementia, and complex health conditions.
- Assist with a wide range of activities in a day service setting or out in the community.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes for service users.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment.
Requirements:
- Experience of working with older people and people with learning disabilities is desirable but not essential.
- A full valid driving licence and willingness to drive service vehicles.
- Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable adults.
