We are seeking an experienced and skilled Named Nurse for Safeguarding Children to join our team at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and expert advice on safeguarding children to all Oxleas staff.
- Ensure staff are fully aware of their statutory responsibilities to safeguard children, young people, and adults at risk.
- Deliver the safeguarding children service locally and assist the Head of Safeguarding to ensure provision across the trust.
- Provide clinical leadership and line management to Specialist safeguarding nurses/practitioners/MASH Health Professionals.
- Participate in the development and delivery of safeguarding children training, as per the Intercollegiate guidance (children and adult), and as part of the local safeguarding children partnership multi-agency training programme.
- Report any serious incidents with safeguarding children implications and contribute specialist knowledge to the investigation of such incidents.
- Work in close partnership with external stakeholders to ensure effective safeguarding arrangements.
- Develop and undertake audit and review activity, ensuring that any recommendations and action plans are addressed.
