Junior Controls Engineer

Actemium Automation Nottingham is seeking a talented Junior Controls Engineer to contribute to our team.

About the Role

As a Junior Controls Engineer at Actemium, you will assist senior engineers in designing, developing, and implementing control systems for industrial automation projects in the East Midlands.

  • Collaborate with experienced engineers to develop control solutions for various industrial applications.
  • Assist in the design, programming, and testing of PLC and SCADA systems.
  • Participate in project planning, execution, and commissioning activities.
  • Analyse system performance and propose improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Provide technical support to clients and contribute to the successful delivery of projects.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Automation, or a related field.
  • A strong understanding of PLC programming (Rockwell) and SCADA systems.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet/IP).
  • Prior experience in the Food and Beverage sector is a plus.
