SIPP Technical Operations Director

About the Role

SEI is seeking a highly motivated and experienced SIPP Technical Operations Director to lead and manage our SEI SIPP operation within the defined SEI risk and control framework. This role will be instrumental in supporting both the product development and the in-house and outsourced SIPP administration function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the SEI SIPP operation, ensuring adherence to the defined SEI risk and control framework.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on SEI's retirement solutions, encompassing operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, management information tools, client reporting, third-party vendor oversight, and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Offer technical and operational guidance to the solutions team, fostering agile development practices, reviewing product specifications and service guides, and promoting collaboration across teams.
  • Effectively communicate with key stakeholders, including supporting RFPs, sales demonstrations, and positioning of solutions within various business models. Collaborate with platform teams to ensure a clear understanding of the front-to-back service offering.
  • Contribute to testing and training initiatives for both internal and external resources on the front office solution offering.
  • Adhere to SEI's risk management policies, procedures, and training requirements.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven leadership skills and experience in managing teams within the pensions industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of SIPP products and services, encompassing both technical pension requirements and market dynamics.
  • Experience with outsourcing pension products and SIPP administration, including participation in relevant industry groups and initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise reports highlighting options and recommendations.
  • Exceptional relationship management and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Solid understanding of commercial principles and budgetary considerations.
  • Familiarity with the investment processing industry, including retail products.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and achieve results.
  • Project and change management experience, adept at managing diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
