Our projects range in value from £5k to £15m, where we assume the roles of Principal Contractor and Principal Designer on various schemes, while also supporting our esteemed Tier 1 contractor clients in subcontractor and off-site manufacturing capacities.
Position Overview
Due to our expanding business, we are seeking an M&E Site Supervisor to collaborate closely with our manufacturing teams in the successful execution of our diverse range of standard and custom-manufactured package plants.
We welcome applications from candidates with mechanical or electrical expertise, or those proficient in both fields. Training opportunities will be available for candidates looking to develop skills in their less experienced area. A willingness to assist with both mechanical and electrical installations is essential.
Key Responsibilities
This role is contracted for 40 hours per week, with 8 hours on-site from Monday to Friday. You will receive compensation for both overtime and travel time to the site (door to door) at your standard hourly rate. Regular travel and lodging will be part of this role, with additional pay for nights spent away from home.
- Overseeing the installation of package plants, including chemical dosing packages, pump skids, access steelwork, and more.
- Ensuring that the installation team executes their tasks as directed and in accordance with Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Responsible for the safe and cost-effective delivery of mechanical and electrical installations.
- Proactively minimizing environmental impact and ensuring protection.
- Managing on-site staff and subcontractors.
- Supporting site-based decision-making to control risks and minimize uncertainties.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical or Electrical Supervisor.
- SSSTS / SMSTS certification.
- Relevant vocational qualification or equivalent.
- CSCS & CCNSG certification.
- Experience in the water or construction industry.
- Industrial and/or panel wiring experience is desirable.
- Strong client engagement and communication skills.
- Experience in managing Mechanical or Electrical projects on-site.
- Able to follow and give instructions effectively.
- Full UK driving license.
Desirable:
- Thames Water Passport.
- EUSR - water hygiene card.
