Contracted Hours: 36 Hours per week

Pay Rate: £15.76 per hour

Shifts: Alternating 12-hour shifts, 36-hour contract, Monday to Friday, with weekend duties across two locations.

Role Overview

As a Security Officer with Securitas, you will take on more than just a guarding role. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety of our clients, their personnel, and their properties while delivering exceptional customer service.

Your Impact as a Security Officer:

Reporting to the onsite Supervisor, you will be stationed at a significant facility for a global leader in defense, aerospace, and security.

Your role will be crucial in safeguarding sensitive information across various domains, including air, maritime, land, and cyber.

You will be tasked with protecting the premises, company assets, and individuals visiting the site.

Additionally, you will conduct regular patrols throughout the facility, both internally and externally.

Remaining vigilant and alert will be essential to identify and deter any suspicious or threatening behavior.

As a Security Officer, you will maintain control over any potential threats until law enforcement or other external agencies arrive.

It is imperative to adhere to health and safety protocols, documenting and reporting any faults or hazards.

You will utilize communication devices and other security equipment as required on site.

Key Qualifications

What You Will Bring:

Experience in a Corporate Security setting is preferred.

All candidates must have a clear 5-year checkable employment history.

A current SIA Licence is required, or you must be willing to undergo training to obtain the necessary certification.

Strong customer service skills are essential.

Excellent communication abilities, with the capacity to convey authority, are required.

You must maintain composure and professionalism at all times.

A resilient approach to security duties is necessary.

Vigilance and an inquisitive mindset are crucial for success in this role.

All candidates must meet strict UK right to work criteria, and basic PC literacy is required, including the ability to use email and operate a two-way radio.

Shifts will include alternating 12-hour periods, 36-hour contract, Monday to Friday, with weekend responsibilities across two designated sites.
