Nutrition Program Manager

Save the Children is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nutrition Officer to support the implementation of quality nutrition services at our nutrition facilities and within the served communities.
Key Responsibilities- Program Implementation
- Oversee the day-to-day implementation of nutrition programs at assigned facilities and communities.
- Support the establishment and strengthening of nutrition sites in targeted shelters and health centers.
- Technical Support
- Provide technical assistance on Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) and Community-based Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) to counsellors, nurses, and community engagement workers.
- Ensure staff are trained on and use national/nutrition cluster guidelines/SOPs on provision of nutrition services.
- Supervision and Coaching
- Conduct regular supportive supervision and provide on-the-job coaching for nutrition site staff.
- Identify capacity gaps and feed into capacity building plans for the team.
- Data Collection and Reporting
- Ensure timely and accurate nutrition data collection and reporting in collaboration with MEAL and nutrition teams.
- Prepare and share regular reports to the Nutrition Coordinator.
- Collaboration and Coordination
- Ensure effective collaboration and coordination with stakeholders, including nutrition cluster partners, health and nutrition service providers, UN agencies, NGOs, and MoH.
- Qualifications
- Medical Doctor (MBBS)/ B.Sc. in Nutrition, Public Health, Pharmacy, Nursing, or Midwifery.
- Experience
- 3 years' experience in a similar role.
- Good understanding of CMAM & IYCF programs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multicultural team.
- Motivated and prepared to work in nutrition sites in challenging conditions.
- Ability to communicate with conflict-affected populations.
- Experience working with NGOs.
- Experience in individual/group counselling.
