Job Title: Highly Specialist Dietitian

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced dietitian to lead our renal nutrition service at Peterborough City Hospital. As a key member of our Nutrition and Dietetic Team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients with complex renal conditions.

About the Role

This is a fixed-term position of 9-12 months, offering a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our renal dietetic service. You will work closely with the renal multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to inpatients and outpatients, and contribute to the development of our renal nutrition service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality assessments and interventions to patients with complex renal conditions
  • Collaborate with the renal MDT to provide comprehensive care to inpatients and outpatients
  • Contribute to the development of our renal nutrition service, including the design and implementation of new programs and initiatives
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to Band 6 staff
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of our renal nutrition service
Person Specification

We are looking for a dietitian with:

  • Strong evidence of CPD, including postgraduate learning and experience in renal dietetics
  • Experience of working in a renal dietetic service, including management of dialysis patients
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to critically appraise evidence and use findings to plan and provide enhanced patient-centred clinical care
