Position Overview

As a SharePoint Solutions Architect, you will play a pivotal role in our organization, collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance our digital workspace.

Your primary responsibility will be to support the design, development, and ongoing enhancement of our comprehensive SharePoint platform. This initiative aims to establish a centralized communication hub that serves as the definitive source of shared information, thereby improving organizational communication, collaboration, document management, and workflow efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a robust SharePoint Intranet that meets the needs of the entire organization.
  • Create and develop new collaborative site solutions, incorporating workflow automation and tailored functionalities.
  • Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and devise effective SharePoint solutions that align with organizational goals, while identifying potential enhancements and technical innovations.
  • Provide guidance on leveraging the Microsoft Power Platform to maximize functionality and efficiency.
  • Oversee the migration process from SharePoint 2016 to SharePoint 2019 or SharePoint Online.
  • Manage SharePoint administration, including permissions, access controls, and new user requests.
  • Establish and maintain a Document Management System that digitizes the document lifecycle from creation to archiving.
  • Architect SharePoint site structures, including site collections, lists, libraries, and content types.
  • Offer technical support and expertise to end-users, troubleshooting issues and ensuring optimal performance of SharePoint applications, including the development of training materials to assist users.
  • Ensure all SharePoint development activities comply with security policies, data protection regulations, and industry standards.

Required Skills and Experience:

To excel in this role, you should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering practical and scalable solutions.

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Proven experience as a SharePoint Developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects in large organizations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of SharePoint architecture, SharePoint Online, SharePoint Designer, M365, and Power Platforms.
  • Experience in integrating and migrating from on-premises solutions to M365, along with implementing technical changes in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.
  • Ability to assess the applicability of new and existing business productivity solutions.
  • Solid understanding of information security and data protection principles within SharePoint.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving SharePoint-related issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong critical thinking abilities and attention to detail.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Familiarity with project management and change management practices.
  • Experience with PowerShell and PnP PowerShell, including scripting across Microsoft 365 services to automate tasks, is advantageous.
  • Relevant Microsoft and ITIL certifications are beneficial but not mandatory.
