Job Title: Corporate Credit Senior Analyst

About the Role:

Macdonald & Company is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Credit Senior Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our asset management and investment advisory firm, you will be responsible for managing a book of loans predominantly backed by Non-performing Loan portfolios originated by a major global investment bank.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loan Portfolio Management: You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of loans, including analyzing financials, credit metrics, and identifying potential risks.
  • Credit Analysis: You will conduct in-depth credit analysis on portfolio companies, including evaluating their financial health, creditworthiness, and potential for default.
  • Collateral Checks: You will perform collateral checks prior to PE manager drawdowns to ensure that the collateral is sufficient to cover the loan.
  • Portfolio Reporting: You will use VBA to automate monthly/quarterly portfolio reporting, providing insights into the performance of the loan portfolio.
  • Client Management: You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Communication: You will have excellent written and spoken English skills, as well as advanced competence with PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Teamwork: You will work collaboratively with the team to achieve business objectives and contribute to the growth and success of the company.

Requirements:

  • Experience: You will have at least 4-6 years' experience in corporate loan asset management, portfolio management, credit risk, and/or corporate lending.
  • Skills: You will have strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze large data sets and systems.
  • Knowledge: You will have a deep understanding of corporate credit, including financial analysis, credit metrics, and credit risk management.
  • Education: You will have a degree in a relevant field, such as finance, accounting, or business administration.
