Education Principal Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional Education Principal to lead our team at HMYOI Werrington. As the Education Principal, you will be responsible for driving quality and ensuring a positive learning experience for the children at Werrington.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the team and develop an innovative, quality-first curriculum aligned with the YCS and PeoplePlus goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Governor and the Youth Custody Service (YCS) contracts team to ensure high-quality educational programs.
  • Develop and implement educational strategies to meet the individual needs of children.
  • Manage multiple complex relationships with stakeholders, including prison and youth offending teams.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of educational programs using data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience in financial management and delivery against SLAs is essential.
  • Demonstrate successful curriculum development and change experience.
Requirements
  • Recent and relevant leadership experience in a similar role.
  • QTS/QTLS and a relevant degree.
  • Continuous professional development and a passion for delivering high-quality education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
