About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Diabetes Specialist Nurse to join our community team at Herts Valleys Integrated Diabetes Service (HIDS) in South and West Hertfordshire.

The successful candidate will work as part of the wider HID Service, which is an integrated service working across community and acute settings.

Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust values staff training and CPD, participates regularly in student training, and has a robust appraisal and supervisory framework.

We use electronic records throughout the Trust, enabling us to work across various settings and be part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care to adults with diabetes in the community
  • Deliver clinics and group education sessions
  • Work collaboratively with the wider HID Service team
  • Participate in student training and contribute to the development of the service
Requirements
  • Registered nurse with postgraduate experience in diabetes
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Good IT skills
  • Full, valid UK driving licence and access to a car for business purposes
