As a Healthcare Support Assistant at our Bournemouth Hospital, strong communication skills are essential, as this role involves helping our patients feel at ease and supported before and after their procedures. Additionally, you must be willing to undergo our Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks as part of your application process and possess a valid driving license.

As a Healthcare Support Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Being part of a cohesive and professional team
  • Assisting in the transportation of patients to and from their designated rooms, before and after procedures
  • Operating in a dynamic clinical environment
  • Maintaining effective communication with all departments
  • Ensuring the proper collection and transportation of specimens
  • Handling the compliant collection, transportation, and disposal of clinical waste
  • Performing driving duties as required
  • Managing incoming and outgoing mail
