Main Responsibilities:
Candidates must possess: completion of a competency-based care certificate, including workbook, AND a minimum of 6 months of experience as a Healthcare Support Worker in an acute hospital setting or 1 year of experience in a Nursing/Care Home environment. Please ensure that your application includes supporting evidence demonstrating how you meet these criteria.

Successful candidates will be assigned to various specialties within the Trust to address short-term needs.

The role involves addressing both physical and emotional requirements, necessitating a flexible approach while collaborating as part of a larger team.

Selected candidates must be available for a Mandatory Induction Programme (terms & conditions apply), which consists of TWO FULL WEEKS (Monday to Friday) plus two additional recall days.

Person Specification:
Knowledge:
Essential criteria include a fundamental understanding of basic patient care.
Experience:
Essential criteria require a minimum of 6 months of experience as a Healthcare Support Worker in an acute hospital environment or 1 year of experience in a Nursing/Care Home setting. Previous experience in public and care environments/NHS is also necessary.
Qualifications:
Essential criteria include completion of a competency-based care certificate, including workbook. Desirable criteria may include short courses relevant to patient and clinical care duties.
Technical Skills Competencies:
Essential criteria involve the ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently. Desirable criteria may include skills in venepuncture and cannulation.
