Job Title: Children's Registered Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead our Children's Home, providing high-quality care and support to young people with Learning Disabilities. As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Home, ensuring the safety and well-being of each child is at the heart of our practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a team of skilled staff, providing emotional support and developing their skills to the highest standard.
  2. Engage with children, setting examples and building excellent rapport, promoting their independence and ensuring they reach their full potential.
  3. Lead from the front, setting excellent expectations for the staff and young people alike, and model a home culture that supports the safety and well-being of each child.
  4. Develop and implement care plans, organize referrals and matching, and liaise with social workers and family members of young people.
  5. Understand and knowledge of safeguarding processes and policies, and keep a record of support and focusing on positive outcomes for the children you support.
  6. De-escalate challenging behaviour and work in a team, delegating tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  1. Must have a caring and open-minded nature, with at least 2 years of experience working within a residential children's setting within the last 5 years.
  2. Experience with LD and ACEs, and ideally hold a Level 5 Health and Social Care Management and Leadership qualification.
  3. Hold a Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification, and ideally have experience of fit-for-purpose interviews and holding a registration.
  4. Be willing to work on call and have a driving licence (preferred).

What We Offer:
