Job Title: Aspiring Education Psychologist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As an Aspiring Education Psychologist, you will have the opportunity to work closely with vulnerable children and young people, supporting their emotional and social development.


About the Role

This is an ideal opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with challenging behaviour profiles, derived from social, emotional, and/or mental health difficulties/traumas. You will work with a team of experienced professionals to provide a safe and supportive environment for children to thrive.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Support children with challenging behaviour profiles, derived from social, emotional, and/or mental health difficulties/traumas.
  2. Work closely with therapists and other professionals to provide a comprehensive support package for children.
  3. Identify and escalate risks and needs to senior staff members, ensuring the child's safety and well-being.
  4. Provide consistency and equip children with tools to feel safe, secure, empowered, and believe that they can succeed in life.

Requirements

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting vulnerable children and young people. You will need to have a strong understanding of the SEND and Mental Health sectors, as well as experience working with children with challenging behaviour profiles. A degree in a relevant field, such as social science, youth studies, psychology, or criminology, is desirable but not essential.
