Job Description

About the Role

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team in a SEND and Mental Health provision. As an Aspiring Education Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children with challenging behavior profiles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support children with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties, including those with adverse childhood experiences.
  • Identify risks and provide necessary support to meet the needs of each child.
  • Work collaboratively with senior staff members to ensure the well-being and safety of children.
  • Develop and implement creative, visual, practical, and academic approaches to aid the learning of young people with SEMH.
  • Build trust with children and provide a safe and secure environment for them to disclose personal information.

Requirements

We are looking for individuals with a passion for supporting vulnerable children and a commitment to making a positive impact. While a degree in social science, youth studies, psychology, criminology, or a similar field is desirable, we also consider non-graduates who possess the necessary skills and qualities.
