Job Title: Clinical Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Transformation Unit team. The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality care to patients undergoing blood and bone marrow transplants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality care to patients undergoing blood and bone marrow transplants, including coordinating day unit and clinic-based post-transplant care.
  • Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate patient care using a holistic and individualized approach.
  • Liaise closely with the AHP team and coordinate care as recommended.
  • Provide patients with information, education, and psychological support.
  • Enhance clinical role by training in practical procedures such as cannulation, venepuncture, and chemotherapy.
  • Cross-cover other team CNSs and participate in the nurse-led late effects clinic.
  • Maintain up-to-date nursing records and care plans.
  • Link to clinical trials team.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse
  • Current NMC Registration
  • Evidence of CPD
  • Educated to Degree level
Desirable Qualities:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good counselling skills
