About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Blood and Bone Marrow Transplant Team. The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to patients with Acute/Chronic Graft Versus Host Disease (GVHD).

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality and efficient haematology day centre and GVHD clinic care for patients and their families.
  • Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate patient care using a holistic and individualized approach.
  • Liaise closely with the AHP team and coordinate care as recommended.
  • Provide continued support to patients throughout their GVHD treatment journey.
  • Work with the ANP/Senior/Lead nurse and BMT Consultant lead to develop and update documentation.
  • Provide patients with information, education, and psychological support.
  • Enhance clinical role by training in practical procedures such as cannulation/venepuncture/chemotherapy/care of central lines and factor concentrate administration.
  • Take part in the nurse-led late effects clinic and maintain up-to-date nursing records and care plans.
