Job Title: Support Practitioner (Adults with Learning Disabilities)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Practitioner to join our team at Highland Home Carers. As a Support Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities to live fulfilling lives.

About the Role

As a Support Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to individuals with varying degrees of learning and physical disabilities. Your duties will include assisting with personal care, medication, meal preparation, and enabling individuals to participate in person-centered activities.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist individuals with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
  • Administer medication and maintain accurate records.
  • Support individuals with budgeting and financial management.
  • Ensure individuals' homes are clean and tidy, and household duties are completed.
  • Support individuals to maintain their tenancy and report any issues to relevant agencies.
  • Respect confidentiality and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • SVQ Level 2 in Social Care or willingness to work towards this.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Flexible approach to work and commitment to person-centered support.
