About the Role

We are seeking a caring and compassionate individual to join our team as a Support Practitioner in Inverness. As a Support Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing respite care to individuals with caring responsibilities, allowing them to take a well-deserved break.

Carr Gomm is a leading social care and community development charity. Our service in Inverness provides respite breaks to people with caring responsibilities, helping to keep them in their own homes and surrounded by familiarity and comfort.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respite care for 1-5 hours at a time, allowing carers to take a break
  • Work with a flexible schedule to accommodate carers' needs
  • Develop strong relationships with carers and individuals receiving support
  • Contribute to a supportive team environment that values your contributions and helps you grow in your role
What We Offer
  • 35 days holiday per year, rising to 40 with service (pro-rata)
  • Paid travel time and additional mileage contributions of 45p per mile

How to Apply

Applying to join our team as a Support Practitioner is quick and straightforward. Our online application process typically takes 10-15 minutes to complete. We will ask for some essential details, including information on your previous employment, SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council) registration and PVG (membership).

We welcome applications from any candidates already eligible to work in the UK or those that can apply for a visa granting permission to work in the UK (e.g. dependent visas, ancestry etc.) that do not require sponsorship from Carr Gomm. You will be asked to share proof of this prior to receiving any offer of employment. It is currently our policy not to offer sponsorship for prospective candidates.
