Support Practitioner (Adults with Learning Disabilities)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Practitioner to join our team at Highland Home Carers. As a Support Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities to live independently and enjoy their lives to the fullest.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to individuals with varying degrees of learning and physical disabilities.
  • Assist with medication management and maintain accurate records.
  • Support individuals with budgeting and financial management.
  • Ensure the home is kept clean and tidy, and household duties are maintained.
  • Support individuals to maintain their tenancy and report any issues to the relevant agency.
  • Respect confidentiality and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • SVQ Level 2 in Social Care or willingness to work towards this.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Flexible approach to work and commitment to person-centered support.
