About the Role

We're on the hunt for a highly skilled and driven Sous Chef to join our team at Lounge. As a key member of our kitchen team, you'll be responsible for leading and supporting our chefs to deliver exceptional food and service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the kitchen team to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Develop and implement kitchen standards and procedures to maintain high-quality food and service
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan and execute menus, specials, and promotions
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and stock control to minimize waste and optimize profitability
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies
  • Develop and implement training programs for kitchen staff to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Monitor and control labor costs, inventory, and waste to optimize profitability
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other stakeholders

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role in a high-volume kitchen environment
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and customers
  • Knowledge of kitchen operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and labor control
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
