Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading manufacturer in the Poole area.

This role offers genuine long-term progression and career development within a first-class manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance of production lines and equipment
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings
  • Responding to breakdowns and reducing downtime
  • Developing and implementing the site PPM programme
  • Installing new equipment and machinery
  • Liaising with the Maintenance Manager for equipment and materials
  • Writing shift reports and contributing to work instructions
  • Complying with company policies and health and safety standards
Requirements:
  • City & Guilds or apprenticeship-trained
  • Time-served as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
  • Ability to diagnose issues and understand root causes
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong IT skills
Package and Benefits:
  • Competitive salary: £44,000 DOE
  • Panama shift: 2 weeks days, 2 weeks nights
