Senior Buyer – Procurement Role

Danny Sullivan Group Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Buyer to join their team in a regional office covering projects across the South of England.

The ideal candidate for this role will be an individual who can maintain and improve the effectiveness of the buying function, aligning with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with the procurement team to develop and implement procurement strategies.
  2. Lead meetings with suppliers and subcontractors to negotiate contracts and agreements.
  3. Develop and manage tender and project procurement plans with the project team.
  4. Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with procurement activities.
  5. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  6. Lead negotiations with the supply chain to secure the best possible deals.
  7. Create and manage bid lists, conducting thorough due diligence on subcontractors.
Requirements:
  1. Certified in Procurement and Supply (CIPS) qualification or equivalent.
  2. Proven experience in civil engineering and procurement, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
  3. Knowledge of various forms of contracts and subcontracting agreements.
  4. In-depth understanding of trades and materials in civil engineering.
