Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team at TDM Recruitment. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing products, processing orders, and working closely with our sales team to ensure the best products and service are offered to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order Processing: Process orders ensuring the right products are purchased, monitor deliveries, and follow up on ETAs to complete orders in full, ready to ship.
- Supplier Management: Identify new suppliers internationally, process purchase orders on suppliers, ensuring best pricing, delivery, and terms.
- Collaboration: Work with our sales team to ensure the best products and service are offered to our customers.
- Professional Development: Learn and develop new skills, attend relevant training, and stay up-to-date with market trends and intelligence.
- Time Management: Work to deadlines, organize worldwide collection of goods, and prioritize tasks effectively.
Person Specifications/Attributes:
- Communication Skills: Confident dealing with people at all levels, clear, empathetic, positive interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, resourceful in meeting customer needs, and a keen eye for detail.
- Team Player: Mature, flexible attitude, sociable, and a good sense of humor.
- Technical Skills: IT literate, experience of MS Office Suite, and the ability to learn new systems.
Working Conditions:
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00-5:00 with 1 hour for lunch and additional breaks.
- Location: Based full-time in Exeter.
