About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Agricultural Business Development Specialist to join our team at Agricultural Recruitment Specialists. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing consultancy services to farming businesses, assisting with budget planning, grant applications, and agricultural schemes such as BPS, CSS, and SFI.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement a 'value-added' approach to drive business growth and improve client outcomes.
  • Identify and explore new market opportunities for products and services, leveraging your expertise in agricultural consultancy.
  • Assist with grant applications and ensure clients are aware of and take advantage of available funding opportunities.
  • Manage budget and cashflow planning for clients, providing expert advice to ensure financial stability and growth.
  • Provide soil, manure, and nutrient planning consultancy to help clients optimize their agricultural practices and improve yields.
  • Contribute to the management of membership benefits and services, ensuring clients receive maximum value from their membership.
  • Act as the key point of contact for key clients, building strong relationships and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Identify gaps in current client offerings and introduce new opportunities or skills to drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with the wider team and external clients to achieve business objectives and drive success.
Requirements
  • Experience in agricultural consultancy or a related field, with a strong understanding of agricultural schemes and grant applications.
  • Strong client relationship management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Knowledge of grant applications and agricultural schemes like BPS, CSS, and SFI.
  • Proficient in budget and cashflow planning, with the ability to provide expert advice to clients.
  • Ability to contribute to soil, manure, and nutrient planning, with a strong understanding of agricultural practices and optimization techniques.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and external partners.
