About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Poultry Farm Manager to join our team at De Lacy Executive. As a key member of our agricultural operations team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our poultry farm, ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare, health, and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Day-to-Day Operations: Oversee the daily activities of the farm, including supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Animal Welfare and Health: Ensure the highest standards of animal welfare and health, including monitoring animal health, implementing biosecurity measures, and collaborating with veterinarians and other external partners.
  • Staff Supervision and Development: Supervise and develop a team of farm staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.
  • Inventory Management and Ordering: Manage the inventory of feed, supplies, and other essential items, ensuring timely ordering and delivery to maintain optimal farm operations.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Ensure the farm is compliant with all relevant regulations, laws, and industry standards, including those related to animal welfare, health, and safety.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience working on egg farms or similar agricultural operations, with a strong understanding of poultry management and welfare.
  • Poultry Passport: Possession of a valid poultry passport or equivalent certification.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of farm staff.
  • Poultry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of poultry management, welfare, and health, including biosecurity measures and regulatory requirements.
