Electrical Site Manager Job Description

AA Euro Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager to join their team. As an Electrical Site Manager, you will be responsible for representing the Project Manager and company on major construction sites, overseeing all site-related activities associated with the construction of a varied range of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement construction programmes, short-term look-ahead planning reports, equipment and materials schedules in conjunction with the project team.
  2. Visit sites to develop site establishment schedules and familiarize yourself with change management procedures.
  3. Assist in project validation, site safety starter pack implementation, and HSEQ plan participation.
  4. Set up site establishments, prepare method statements and risk assessments, and review with subcontractors.
  5. Ensure all on-site personnel hold relevant competencies for their tasks and maintain a detailed site diary.
  6. Attend and chair internal meetings, ensure timely variation pickups, and labour allocation sheet completion by subcontractors.
  7. Produce short-term programmes in line with master programmes and mark up master programmes each week for the Project Manager.
  8. Effectively manage subcontractor supervision for efficient productivity and ensure subcontractor workforces are on site on time.
  9. Ensure tool box talks, inductions, and safety briefings are conducted, deliver specific EHSQ TBTs and group stand-downs, and perform weekly EHS audits.
  10. Maintain plant logs, ensure weekly safety checks, and ensure operatives work safely with appropriate PPE and follow agreed method statements.
  11. Comply with Health and Safety Policy, particularly regarding work permits, site safety audits, and weekly walk-arounds.
  12. Implement H&S behaviour/culture and Golden Rules, enforce 30-minute reporting, and plan and coordinate delivery of materials and plant.
  13. Deliver specific QAQC TBTs and group stand-downs, perform weekly QAQC audits, and mark up drawings in conjunction with inspection testing.
  14. Ensure inspection test plans are enforced, snag works are completed, and free-issue equipment is checked and cared for.
  15. Raise and close off NCRs as necessary, liaise with commissioning engineers to ensure all systems are tested and demonstrated, and hand over to clients.
  16. Ensure all site safety devices are proved, all life systems are complete and certified, and final marked-up drawings are correct.
  17. Liaise with Project Managers on site demobilization, including plant, labour, materials, and site establishment, and ensure all statutory notices, schematics, and wall charts are in place on site.
Requirements:
  1. Recognized Electrical apprenticeship/trade certification coupled with a minimum of 5 years Site Management experience.
  2. Experience in managing Electrical design and build projects in excess of €5 million.
  3. Ideal possession of IOSH certificate managing safety, IOSH certificate in environmental management, and general NEBOSH certificate.
  4. Possess strong computer abilities and PICW Level A would be advantageous.
  5. Professional Acumen – Represent the company at a senior level in meetings, presentations, technical workshops, etc. in a professional, competent, and capable manner.
  6. Communications – A strong communicator with excellent verbal and writing proficiency and ability to lead presentations to larger audiences.
  7. Planning and Organising – An organized and adaptable individual with a flexible approach to work and ability to manage and prioritize when leading multiple projects.
  8. Deep understanding of constructability of projects, strong Commercial awareness, and capable of building strategic relationships with third-party design groups.
  9. Ability to work on own initiative and build and manage a team.
