Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated professional with exceptional expertise to manage and treat intricate patient cases. The ideal candidate will confidently challenge existing practices to ensure that our patients receive the most current evidence-based treatments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assume a leadership role within the clinical team, overseeing the planning, coordination, and delivery of Occupational Therapy services for patients within the Cardiology Service.
- Provide Occupational Therapy support throughout the cardiac surgery pathway, including intensive care settings.
- Collaborate with Pathway Leads and Clinical Specialists to assess patient services across various specialties, contributing to the development and enhancement of service delivery.
- Engage in advanced patient assessment and treatment within cardiology pathways, particularly for those with complex or chronic conditions, while maintaining comprehensive records as an independent practitioner.
- Lead and mentor within the integrated therapy team, serving as a line manager for both Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy staff.
- Offer specialized guidance and training to Occupational Therapy students and other healthcare professionals within the specialty.
The successful candidate will be required to work shifts, including weekends, and participate in the holiday rota.
