Senior Critical Care Fellow

Main Job Responsibilities
As a Senior Critical Care Fellow, you will be working in a busy tertiary referral ICU, providing high-quality care to critically ill patients. You will be responsible for assessing, resuscitating, and stabilizing acutely sick patients, as well as managing junior colleagues when working out of hours. Additionally, you will participate as a key member of the cardiac arrest team and demonstrate good clinical judgement.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Advanced airway skills, including ability to intubate critically ill patients with distant supervision
- Ability to site invasive lines (e.g. arterial, central venous, vascath) with distant supervision
- Ability to organise and prioritise workload
- Honesty and reliability
- Ability to work effectively within a team
- Flexibility
- Inquiring and critical approach to work
- Demonstrates initiative
- Appropriately assertive
- Ability to take on administrative roles within the Department
- A willingness to undertake additional clinical duties when necessary, including cover for colleagues on leave
