We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Trainee in Intensive Care Medicine to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW).

This is a full-time role for six months to one year based in both the General and Cardiac Intensive Care Units. You will work in a team of other doctors to provide oversight of the whole critical care bed-base with non-resident on-call shifts as part of a partial shift rota pattern.

Main Responsibilities

As a Senior Fellow, you will be responsible for overseeing the critical care bed-base, participating in cardiac arrest teams, and managing junior colleagues when working out of hours. You will also contribute to audit and governance processes and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:
  • Advanced life support provider certification
  • Completed specialist skills courses, such as difficult airways, ATLS/APLS, and ultrasound course
  • Able to design and complete audits

What We Offer

This role offers a competitive salary of £85,000-£105,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for career development. As a member of our team, you will have access to ongoing education and training, mentorship, and support from experienced consultants.
