We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Specialist Speech Therapist to join our dynamic team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust.



This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to work within the Respiratory & Critical care pathways, providing a communication and dysphagia service to in-patients within the high care Respiratory and Cardiology wards, General Intensive Care Unit as well as the Regional Cardiac Intensive care Unit.



The successful applicant will work alongside fellow band 6 and Clinical Speciality Team Leads within these pathways, supported by a fantastic SLT Assistant as well as closely working with members of the multi-disciplinary team.



You will manage tracheostomised and ventilator dependent patients, participating in, and contributing to regular teaching within the MDT.



We are a dynamic team providing an excellent service to our patients and staff, with a focus on patient-centered care and a supportive working environment.



As a member of our team, you will have access to regular in-service training, peer and line management supervision, and weekly Videofluoroscopy and in-patient FEES services.



While we are hoping to recruit someone with existing trache competencies, we would also be interested in receiving applications from SLTs with excellent transferable inpatient experience and an eagerness to develop specialist critical care skills.
