Position Summary
As a key member of the Purchasing Europe Department, you will play a vital role in the Purchasing Team, overseeing procurement activities related to our client's products. Our client is a prominent manufacturing entity within a global network.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the supply chain and sourcing initiatives to support projects across various facilities, including those in the UK, Europe, and South America, with a focus on enhancing product quality and cost efficiency.
- Oversee a high-value commodity portfolio, fostering supplier development to ensure sourcing decisions align with organizational objectives.
- Achieve and report on company targets related to cost management, quality enhancement, and lead time reduction.
- Cultivate strong partnerships with vendors and collaborate with them to implement the Cost Management Programme, ensuring the definition and execution of Six Sigma projects.
- Develop comprehensive commodity strategies at multiple levels, identifying and leading cost reduction initiatives.
- Manage a diverse workload while maintaining focus on critical tasks.

Qualifications and Skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing abilities.
- Strong commercial acumen and effective communication skills.
- Flexible, self-directed approach to managing workload with the capacity to meet stringent deadlines.
- Proficient presenter at senior management levels.
- Solid background in quality, engineering, processes, and materials.
- CIPS Membership is advantageous.
- Self-motivated team player with demonstrated administrative and IT competencies.
- A degree qualification is essential; Six Sigma Greenbelt certification is desirable.
- Must possess a valid driving license and passport, with a willingness to travel as required.
