We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team at Building Careers UK. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in main contracting, with a focus on schemes exceeding £10 million in value.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project costs from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to budgets and financial objectives.
  • Oversee the procurement process, including tendering, negotiation, and contract administration.
  • Handle various contract forms, including JCT D&B, management contracting, and NEC, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and value enhancement.
  • Effectively manage subcontractor relationships, including procurement, payment applications, and dispute resolution.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, forecasts, and cost analysis.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in main contracting, with a focus on similar schemes exceeding £10 million in value.
  • Comprehensive understanding of traditional, steel frame, and timber frame construction methods.
  • Proficiency in handling various contract forms, including JCT D&B, management contracting, and NEC (desirable).
