Motor Claims Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Claims Handler to join our team at Gallagher. As a key member of our Commercial Motor Claims team, you will play a vital role in managing a portfolio of motor claims, ensuring efficient and accurate processing.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of commercial motor claims, including motor damage, credit hire, and injury claims.
- Handle claims from first notification to settlement, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Assess fraud, quantum, and liability, making informed decisions based on available evidence and policy terms.
- Manage cases through litigation, working closely with legal teams to ensure effective case management.
- Liaise with a variety of stakeholders, including clients, brokers, suppliers, claimants, and their representatives.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date claim files, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify and implement process improvements, enhancing overall claims handling efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices, continuously enhancing knowledge and skills.
- Good understanding of proactive claims handling.
- Base understanding of insurance principles.
- Experience of handling motor damage and credit hire claims.
- Working knowledge and experience of handling OICP and MOJ Portal Claims.
- Excellent customer service.
- Good attention to detail.
- Willingness to take referrals from less experienced members of staff.
